Nutrition from Navitas

High-Powered Nutrition from Navitas

It was an exciting day when the box from Navitas Naturals arrived. I had no idea how much I would like the certified organic and Kosher vegan products popular among raw foodists. The package contained a multicultural array of superfoods no worldly woman could resist.

First came the goji berries, the Himalayan superfruit known to be one of the most nutrient-rich foods in existence — full of protein, essential amino acids, vitamins A and C, and trace minerals. Then I was greeted by the cacao sweet nibs consumed in South America for thousands of years, supplying antioxidants, iron and much magnesium. Some cute little Turkish mulberries which provide iron, vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber appeared next.

I am also a fan of the small and environmentally-friendly blue water bottle from Navitas. Stainless steel is said to have a life expectancy of over 100 years, so this bottle should definitely outlast me. I also love the “cacao power” organic lip balm, with ingredients you’d want to eat: cacao butter, chocolate, rosemary, etc.

Navitas Naturals food products have attractive and colorful packaging that clearly spells out the nutritional benefits and history of a given product. They also have suggested uses for each product: smoothies, oatmeal, salads, and so on. A booklet of superfood recipes came with the goods. South of the Border Wraps with cashew chipotle cheese, chocolate mole sauce and avocado caught my eye. Or maybe I will try the Modern Apple Pie made of coconut sugar, chia powder (made from nutrient-dense chia seeds), pomegranate powder and more.

It’s so nice when a company walks their talk – the packaging that supported the items in the box is biodegradable, reusable and recyclable – just in time for Earth Day. I am definitely sold on these high quality vegan products.
