Ensenada, a beautiful coastal city in Baja California, about a two-hour drive from San Diego, makes a great day or weekend trip and is frequented by tourists. The main part of town is walkable and fun to check out. I had a delicious lunch at Falafel Comida Israeli (pictured). Those with adventurous palates may like Chutney Curry House, offering Indian veggie options! We also tried La Sonrisa for fresh-baked breads and burritos.
Other highlights were stopping for fresh cocos (coconuts) on the way to Ensenada and catching a gorgeous sunset at the bay. Don’t miss the sunset!
